Hello and Welcome to my Blog. Today Altenew is releasing this stunning new kit.

Vintage beauty in a classic style! Create gorgeous vintage print-inspired projects using this Vintage Tapestry kit! This kit contains a beautiful 3-dimensional embossing folder, a 6x8 layering stamp set, a 4-piece layering stencil set, and a matching die set to cut all the pieces from the stamp set and the layering stencil set.

You should have arrived at my blog from Pam Boedeker but you can always go back to the Altenew Card Blog if you wish to start the hop again.

Giveaway Prizes

$300 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $ 25 gift certificate to 8 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 12/18/2021 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 10 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 12/20/2021.

I have created 2 cards for this release.

Card 1:

I started by using the stamp set to stamp out my images using Sweet Dreams Mini ink cube set https://shrsl.com/3af3y and warm grey inks. I die cut the images using the coordinating dies in the kit, popped them up with dimensional foam tape and adhered the floral arrangement to my card panel. I matted the card using silver cardstock from my stash. The sentiment from the stamp set was stamped on the same silver cardstock, cut out and adhered with foam tape. Some small irridescent rhinestones from my stash finished the card nicely.

Here is a closer look at my background. It was created by ink blending colours from the Warm Grey Mini Ink Cube set https://shrsl.com/3af3t. I started in one corner and slowly worked my way down the panel, adding darker shades at one end to create an ombre effect. I then took teal caves and jet black ink and splattered it over the card panel. For a bit of shimmer, I added more splatters with sterling silver metallic paint from the Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan set  https://shrsl.com/3af3x and left the panel to dry for about 30 minutes.

Card 2:

I used the embossing folder from the kit and embossed some watercolor cardstock. I then coloured the raised parts of the image with colours from the Metallic Watercolour 14 pan set https://shrsl.com/3af3x

A sentiment from the stamp set and some pearl embellishments from my stash finished off the card.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Your next hop is to the lovely Colleen Balija.

See you next time!
