Card 1:
I wanted to play with my new hot foil machine so I chose to create some projects using the hot foil plates but there are also options to just purchase the layering stencils and/or stamps and great projects can be created without the hot foil plates if you prefer.
I began by using the hot foil plate and some silver foil to foil the outline image onto my card base.
I then used the layering stencils to colour the image. There is always a very helpful layering guide provided with these stencils and I like to keep it right next to me to help me check I am using the correct layer. I added my panel first to a black layer and then onto a silver card base, both from my stash and used a sentiment strip from sentiment strips 3. I love how easy it was to create such an elegant clean and simple card.

Card 2:
Again I used the Golden Days Hot Foil Plate to Hot foil the image onto a white card base. I then used crisp die inks and the Golden Days layering stencil to colour in the image. You could use any inks in any colours you have in your stash to colour in this image. You could even do a rainbow rose if you wish! The sentiment is also from Sentiment 3 Stamp Set.
Card 3:
For this card, I used the Golden Days Stamp and Die Bundle. I stamped the outline image in Obsidian Pigment Black ink and then the other layers in an ink colour of my choice, following the layering guide provided in the package. I created an ink blended panel with the same colours but using a lighter touch, added water splatters to cause the oxidisation of the ink and also added some pink ink splatters.
I then used the Mix and Match Frames Die Set to cut out the panel, leaving a pretty deckled edge. I inked the edges to enhance the edge more. I then popped this up onto an A2 card base. The sentiment is one from the same stamp set.

Card 3:
I love using my Metallic Watercolour 14 Pan Set whenever I can, especially if I'm going to be using black cardstock as the shimmer is incredible and the watercolours are opaque. e
I hot foiled the image from the Whimsical Peony Hot Foil Plate using gold hot foil.
I then used the coordinating stencils to colour in the rest of the flower using the stencil and very little water to colour the image. I did not have any black watercolour cardstock so took a chance with normal thick black cardstock and very little water and it worked out just fine!
I trimmed down the 2 long sides of the black panel and then used another favourite stand-alone die called Creative Edges Scalloped Die Set to add a pretty detail on each side. I found some pink pearl cardstock in my stash to use as the card base as it just happened to match perfectly with the metallic watercolour in the flower but you could easily watercolour the edges of a panel to get a similar look.

Card 4:
Using the Whimsical Peony Hot Foil plate and matching stencils, I used die inks this time to colour the flower. I then used the Mod Squares 3D Embossing folder and embossed the entire image. I especially love the effect of embossing on the foil. I used the Mix and Match Frames Die Set to cut out the main image and foam mounted it onto an A2 card panel. The sentiment is from the Sentiment Strips 3 Stamp Set.

Card 5:
I fell in love with the new Folk Flowers Stamp/Die/Stencil Bundle and had to make more than one card! I know I will be creating many more cards with this set in the future. I love the whimsical and playful look it has.
For the first card I simply ink blended through the layering stencils using die inks and followed the layering guide. It is very easy to do this.
There is a small stamp set which coordinated and stamps the details onto the ink blended flowers and leaves after the ink blending is complete. I trimmed the panel down by 1/8 inch on all sides, mounted it onto an A2 black card base and stamped and white embossed a sentiment from the stamp set.

Card 6:
The next card uses the same stencils and I ink blended only the floral image which co-ordinates with the only die in the set.
I found a piece of coordinating blue cardstock in my scrap cardstock stash and used that for the back panel, To add interest, I used the Diamond Frame Cover Die to cut out the design from silver glitter cardstock and adhere this to the blue panel for added interest. The die cut image was then popped up in the middle with foam tape and a sentiment heat embossed from the Sentiment Strips 3 Stamp Set.
