I have created two cards for the hop .

Card 1:

I die cut the floral images using Summer Afternoon gradient card stock https://shrsl.com/3af4e and used the very handy layering guide provided with each product to create each flower and the leaves.

The background was inked in distress oxide ink Faded Jeans - applying more ink at one end to create an ombre effect, I then splattered water over the panel and patted a paper towel over it. The water oxidises with the ink and gives an interesting texture.

I then cut the sentiment provided in the set, off-set it with another die cut in gold glitter cardstock. Extra interest and focus is created using metallic thread  https://shrsl.com/36or3    and sequins https://shrsl.com/36osb from Altenew

I used a stencil called Fine Tulle  https://shrsl.com/3af56  and some peach embellishment mousse to create my background.

Here is a link to the start of the hop at the Altenew Blog

If you are following the order then you will have come from the lovely Pam Boedeker

I have 6 cards to show you today.

This first one was created using the Colorful Soul Stamp and Die Bundle (https://shrsl.com/39wm6).

These whimsical flowers are really cute and so easy to stamp in lots of fun colours. For the top layer I used some clear glitter gel to give each flower some shimmer and shine. The background panel was embossed using the Woven Basket 3D embossing folder (https://shrsl.com/39wme) to give the card some texture and to emphasise the texture more, I lighly swiped a light blue distress ink pad over the raised parts. This panel was added to a A2 size black card base to frame the design and to help the flowers pop. The sentiment is from the Colorful Soul stamp set. A few black splatters and some enamel dots provide the finishing touch.

Card 2:

I started by using the Rose Mellow 3-in-1 Layering stencil (https://shrsl.com/39wma), and following the layering guide provided on the back of the packaging which is always very helpful! There are also masking stencils for each image in the set which enabled me to make the flowers look as though some are behind others. When I was happy with the look, I added more texture using the Garden Rose 3D embossing folder from the Craft Your Life Project Kit  (https://shrsl.com/37ay5) . I then used the Mix and Match Frames Die Set (https://shrsl.com/39wod)
to cut out the decorative edge and add the panel to an A2 size card base. I stamped the sentiment using the Inside and Out Thanks Sentiment Stamp set (https://shrsl.com/39wm8) , stamping in embossing ink and then Antique Silver embossing powder (https://shrsl.com/36or0) and embellishing with a few iridescent sequins from my stash.

Card 3:
This was quite a quick card to put together using the Blends 6x6 paper pad (https://shrsl.com/39wmg)
There is a rainbow of colours in this pad and each page has an ambre look to I cut 1/2 inch strips from 8 rainbow colours and stuck them to the panel at and angle, making sure to keep all the lighter sides of the ambre on the right side. I also left a very small gap between each strip. For the sentiment and sub-sentiment, I used the Tiny Sentiment Hello Die (https://shrsl.com/39wm4)  to cut from Gilded Gradient Cardstock  (https://shrsl.com/39wpc) . Some enamel dots added the finishing touch (https://shrsl.com/39wpi)

Card 4:
The Pots and Plants Stamp and Die Bundle  is a great new set to use for new home cards or masculine cards, amongst others.  I again used paper from the Blends paper pad as my background. I inked and stamped  all 3 images from the stamp set
https://shrsl.com/39wm9  and used alcohol markers to do some very simple colouring. The sentiment was
stamped in jet black ink. Another quick, clean and simple card.

Card 5 and 6:
These cards again used some flowers from the Colorful Soul stamp and die bundle (https://shrsl.com/39wm6)
I was keen to try the 3 new washi tapes - Gold Foil Polka Dot (https://shrsl.com/39wm)
Gold Foil pinstripe  (https://shrsl.com/39wmi )   and
Gold Foil Winter Roses  (https://shrsl.com/39wmh)
A thin strip of gold glitter cardstock added some blink to the blue card and I used the woven basket 3D embossing folder for texture on the final card. Washi tape is a great way to create quick and easy cards which still have that wow factor.

You next stop is Penny Pynnonen who is waiting to share her beautiful work with you.

Thank you for stopping by today.
Happy crafting!

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Queen of the Lilies Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the BAF Queen of the Lilies Stamp Set Blog Hop and giveaway. If you have hopped over from Rebecca Sogn's blog you are right on track. My blog is the last in the list but you can start the hop over on the Altenew Card Blog if you wish.

$200 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 2 lucky winners and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 12/07/2021 for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 7 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on 12/09/2021.

Would you like to add a rare royal touch to your projects? Well, you're in luck!
This stamp set features 8 layers to create gorgeously detailed Queen of the Lilies flowers. You will also find a couple of leaves with an outline layer, a full-color layer, and a color shading layer for beautiful stamping possibilities. Stamp one of the sweet sentiments to finish your card or scrapbook layout.

I created 2 cards using this stamp set.

For this first pink card, I stamped the various layers using firstly jet black dye ink (https://shrsl.com/37az4) for the outline layer, then the Spring Bouquet 6 mini ink cube set (https://shrsl.com/3a4rpI then die cut the images using the coordinating dies. I cut down a white panel to 4" x 5 1/4" to layer over another A2 panel. In order to create a pink border on the A2 panel which matched the pink, I used the darkest colour magenta from the ink set and swiped the ink pad directly onto the outer portions of the panel and then adhered the smaller panel to that to create the border.

I added some black splatters using the jet black ink. The images were arranged and adhered with Instant Dimension Tape  (https://shrsl.com/37az0). The sentiment comes from the Essential Sentiments Strips Die Set https://shrsl.com/36osl, die cut from iridescent card stock with a strip of black behind it for definition. A few silver embellishments from my stash finished off the card nicely.

For the second card, I used the Basic Plaid 3D embossing folder https://shrsl.com/3a4st to emboss a black cardstock panel. The flowers and leaves were stamped using the Golden Sunset Mini Ink Cube Set  (https://shrsl.com/3a4t0) and the green inks from the Spring Bouquet 6 Mini ink cube set. The sentiment comes from the stamp set.

Thank you for stopping by to view my blog post. I hope I have inspired you?

See you next time.

And now for my creations!
I love using washi tape for quick and easy card making and also for adding to scrapbook layouts. Here are 3 cards that I made and the products I used.

For this first card, I used 2 widths of Narrow Rainbow Washi Tape and placed them on the diagonal across the card panel. I then embossed another A2 panel with Enchanting Vines 3D embossing folder. I cut it into 2 pieces and adhered each section using foam tape for added dimension. The sentiment is the mega hello die which was cut from black glitter cardstock.

This next card was created using Concrete Wall wash tape and the 1 inch gold washi tape for the right side of the card. I added a decorative edge using the creative scalloped edges die. For the focal flowers, I used the Floral Doodles die set, cut the bottom layer from white cardstock and the detailed layer from gold mirror cardstock, stacked them and arranged on the panel.

Card 3 was created using 2 rows of Golden Stream washi tape along the bottom 3rd of the card panel. I then ink blended some light blue ink to form a backdrop for the flowers. I used Craft-a-Flower Rose and yellow gradient cardstock to die cut the flowers and the fancy hugs die was cut twice, once from white cardstock and the top layer from glossy black cardstock.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope you are inspired by my cards. Below is the list of blog hops and which you should visit next.
